It is quite common to hear from other people how they have a hard time coping with their everyday stress. We hear stories about how some developed depression and other more serious diseases, which when medical advice is not sought early on, could lead to something tragic.

Stress affects us in different ways: emotional, cognitive, and physical. To get tired is normal, particularly after doing a day’s work. Signs to Look Out For
Stress can be a very dangerous condition, particularly because it is usually masked under some vague symptoms which sometimes make it difficult to detect. Therefore, neglecting your well-being may result in a number of conditions.
1.     Body aches and pains. A simple plopping of Ibuprofen may somehow help you ease the muscular pain, but long-term use of Ibuprofen is not advised,  research has found out that it can develop into a myriad of medical conditions.

2.     Lack of sleep. Have you felt so tired and yet unable to sleep as soon as you hit the bed? To much stress from work may not let you sleep comfortably at night. To help you get back to your normal sleeping pattern, learn to adopt a healthier lifestyle by having regular exercise, meditation, and switching to healthier meals. Also, learn to stop thinking too much while in bed. This would surely make it difficult for you to fall asleep.

3.    Tipping on and off the scales. Any unexplained weight fluctuations should be a concern. If you were on the heavy side and suddenly notice that you are losing 2-5 lbs a week, it is not something to rejoice about. It should be a cause for alarm. Sometimes, we lose our appetite when we are stressed which can affect our eating habits. Skipping meals is never a healthy option just to lose weight.

4.     You can’t keep yourself in one place. Anxiety and too much stress can cause you to be constantly pacing, overthinking, and just would feel like you are about to explode. One great way to help you be free from being invisibly bound is to take yourself for a walk, to be outside to help your thoughts be free from everything that may be worrying you.

5.
Being too irritable and have a sudden outburst of emotions. Stress can make you impatient and intolerant. If something seems to be bothering you, learn to let all your emotions out by talking to someone. Bottled up emotions may lead to anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and addiction.

6.     Hair loss. Yes! You read it right. You may also lose your hair if you are overstressed. Not having enough sleep, not eating properly, and having an unhealthy lifestyle could make you possibly lose your crowning glory. Any physiological change in your body caused by stress can alter your body’s normal function.

Would you let your body slowly die? Of course, you wouldn’t after reading all the signs mentioned. So, what can make you feel stress-free and happy? Here are ways:

1.     Take time off from your job. Give yourself a break from all the long hours you’ve had from work.
2.     Let you and your family spend quality time together. You may take a few days of vacation like going to the beach.

3.     Don’t deny yourself of having a “me time”. Treat yourself for a spa. It would surely help you relax.

4.     Go out with friends. For sure, having time with your friends can also be a stress-reliever.
