How To Connect A Security Camera To Your TV

In these times, every homeowner or business owner should feel the need to buy a security camera for their property. Security cameras then were attached to a DVR in which the footage is watched on a later time, or if a suspicious activity has been reported that would need to be reviewed for evidence.  However, there are certain circumstances in which the feed will need to be live. Therefore, the camera may need to be connected to an actual television rather than a DVR which turns the system into a CCTV. There are industries that may require on-the-spot monitoring which utilizes a CCTV live feed to prevent any types of robberies or other suspicious activity the moment that instances happen. Some homeowners have also started using the same kind of security in their homes particularly when the family is out of town or if they have just recently hired new helps or nannies to check on their behavior while they are away. You must have heard from the news how some nannies would be harshly treating the children entrusted to their care or how some helpers would be stealing coins and other small things from the homeowners while cleaning up their room. Using a security camera will enable homeowners or business owners catch these culprits red-handed. (You may also have the option to use a wireless camera or IP camera)

If you want to try to have one at your home or office, consider connecting a security camera to a TV and you are on your way on having some peace of mind. Connecting a security camera to a TV is simple and can be done in just a few steps. Directions
1.      Measure the area from the camera to the TV to determine the exact length needed. Map out the location and remove any possible roadblocks that may interfere with cable placement.

2.     Check what type of connections are needed and which cables to use. Coaxial cable are the ones used to connect cable outlets to television sets. The RCA cables are the red, white, and yellow cables that connect audio/visual equipment together.

3.     Plug in the cables into the back of the camera. Make sure to match the RCA cables of the cable to the associated ports. If you are using coaxial cable, screw the cable into the rear end of the security camera.

4.     It may be an eyesore seeing all the cables cluttered on the floor. To have a more professional look, place mounts along the wall and attach the cable as you go along.

5.     Find the connections to the TV. Be sure that the RCA cable match the corresponding colors on the cable to the ports on the TV. If you are using a coaxial cable, you need to screw the coaxial cable into the back of the television.

6.     Find the channel where the feel will be displayed. Remember that different models may utilize different channels or outputs. Refer to your TV’s manual for more information.
